Correct. Beyond One Path is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Mentees, mentors, and the broader community will always be free. We're funded by donors and partner organizations — not by the people we serve.
Yes. Explorer is the right track for anyone curious about non-traditional careers — students, career changers, parents helping a kid think things through, or educators looking for resources. Sign up and let us know who you are.
Our default model is roughly one hour a month of one-to-one conversation, plus occasional group events you can opt into. We'd rather have mentors who show up consistently than mentors who burn out.
Tell us about it in the application. We start with those three industries, but related fields (logistics, manufacturing, facilities, construction, food & beverage, public service, military) are very welcome. We grow as the community grows — and the mission is broader than our starting three.
We're early-stage and starting nationally with virtual mentorship, with regional pilots forming. Sign up as an Explorer and you'll be the first to know when in-person programming reaches your region.
Explorer is your standing membership — newsletter, resources, community. When formal mentee cohorts open (which happens in waves), Explorers get first invitation to apply. Think of Explorer as the front door; cohorts are specific programs running inside.
Not at all. College is a great path for many people — it's just not the only path to a stable, meaningful, successful life. Our mission is to expand the menu of options young people, families, and career changers know about, alongside traditional higher education, military service, public service, and other meaningful routes.
